Welo Ka Hae Hawaiʻi
An old, weathered diary entry from January 11, 1843 with handwritten text, illustrations of flags labeled "Bern," and a small sketch of a sailing ship. The pages show signs of age with stains and wear.
Established on July 31, 1843, by Kauikeaouli, King Kamehameha III, Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea became one of the first national holidays of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

All ʻohana are invited to enjoy memorable performances by some of Hawaiʻi’s most talented musicians under a starry night sky and in the cool, fresh air of Kaiwiʻula.
