Bishop Museum, the State of Hawai‘i Museum of Natural and Cultural History, is proud to present Ea Mai ʻEiwa: Patterns of Practice, opening in the J. M. Long Gallery on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

April sees the opening of Ea Mai ʻEiwa: Patterns of Practice, a powerful new exhibition featuring the work of Nālani Kanakaʻole (1946–2026), Sig Zane, and Kūhaʻoʻīmaikalani Zane — a Hilo-based family of artists whose creative practices are deeply rooted in hula ʻaihaʻa. Also in April, Bishop Museum welcomes the Celebrate Micronesia Festival back to its campus.

The students’ school mosaics and other LEGO®-inspired creations take over the Castle Memorial Building on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

The discovery of the live animals in New Guinea, originally known only from fossils, is a story of hope for biodiversity and the importance of conservation across the Pacific.

March sees the opening of Bishop Museum’s newest exhibition, sharing a look at our islands through the vivid and creative presentation of bricks! Engaging for the whole family, Aloha Bricks ‘26: Stories of Hawaiʻi is a celebration of the people, places, plants, animals, and stories that shape Hawaiʻi.

The Ka Makou Kōnane Invitational Tournament Finals will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026 from 4-10 p.m. in historic Hawaiian Hall.
