Bidding Starts Thursday, August 13 for Bishop Museum’s Annual Online Auction, E Ulu A Pa‘a
More than 80 one-of-a-kind treasures and exculsive Bishop Museum Experiences will be up for bid, supporting the Museum’s mission, staff, and work.
Honolulu, Hawaiʻi — Bishop Museum, the State of Hawai‘i Museum of Natural and Cultural History, will once again hold its popular online auction, E Ulu a Pa‘a. Bids will start at 3 p.m. HST Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026 and run until 9 p.m. HST Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026. Shoppers can register now at bishopmuseum.cbo.io, then preview the more than 80 one of-a-kind treasures and exclusive Bishop Museum Experiences shortly before the event starts on Thursday, Aug. 13.
The 11-day online auction supports the mission, staff, and work at Bishop Museum.
“Our Bishop Museum ʻOhana expresses our deep appreciation and mahalo for the community’s continued support,” shared Janet Bullard, Bishop Museum vice president of institutional advancement and marketing communications, and acting director of government relations. “Donations raise vital funds to ensure Bishop Museum can continue to protect, preserve, and perpetuate the rich cultural and natural heritage of our Islands and the Pacific for generations to come.”
Select items and experiences up for bid include:
- Handmade vintage kimono, made with 100% Rayon, Procion, and indigo dyes.
- Lei hulu kāmoe made with natural golden pheasant feathers.
- Four VIP tickets to Kaula Lūʻau at Koʻolina.
- Custom tenor ʻukulele with case by Mike Chock.
- Pāpale lauhala, woven hat.
- Two nights at the OUTRIGGER Waikiki Paradise, with a helicopter excursion.
- “Scenic Route” original eucaustic by artist Robin Appasamy.
- Bishop Museum Experience: “Deep Dive Into Hawaiian Waters.”
- Private behind-the-scenes Vertebrate Zoology tour and lunch with Bishop Museum President and CEO Dr. Kris Helgen.
