In collaboration with the Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design, Bishop Museum is proud to launch a new tour offering. Museum guests will have the opportunity to visit Shangri La’s world-renowned collection of Islamic art on select Saturdays.
Visit Shangri La Through Bishop Museum
Tour Schedule
Saturdays
- 9:00 a.m.
- 11:00 a.m.
- 1:00 p.m.
- 3:00 p.m.
Tours begin and end at Bishop Museum and include:
- A 75-minute visit to Shangri La with controlled access to the grounds and galleries.
- Same-day admission to Bishop Museum
- Roundtrip shuttle transportation between the two museums.






















Ticket Sales
- Launch Sale: September 4, 2025 at 10 a.m. HST
- Monthly Releases: First Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. HST
Pricing
- General Admission: $45 per person
- Kamaʻāina (Hawaiʻi residents): $25 per person
What to Expect During Your Visit
Reserve your spot online. Space is limited—book early!
Arrive 15 minutes before your tour time. Look for the Shangri La check-in desk near the main entrance.
Enjoy a 20-minute shuttle ride through Honolulu’s neighborhoods before arriving at Shangri La.
Wander at your own pace through the gallery spaces as you enjoy the historic art collection and the unmatched views of Le’ahi and the surrounding environment. Shangri La tour staff will be on hand to answer questions and give ‘art talk’ presentations.
Board the shuttle back to Bishop Museum and use your same-day admission to explore our exhibitions and collections.
