Kōpiko (Psychotria mariniana) is considered an easy to grow shrub/tree. This plant is related to coffee and exhibits similar white flowers, but is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. It can tolerate a variety of conditions and does well with partial-full sun.

Kōpiko is a hardwood tree that has been used to create certain tools that have been used to make things like kapa, weapons, canoes and houses. Its durability makes it a great choice for a beginner tree and it is a nice shade tree or accent to any landscape.
