Bishop Museum Celebrates Mary Kawena Pukui With Special Museum After Hours Event

Bishop Museum, the State of Hawai‘i Museum of Natural and Cultural History, in partnership with the Mary Kawena Pukui Cultural Preservation Society, presents Nānā i ke Kumu: Celebrating the Legacy of Mary Kawena Pukui. The special Museum After Hours event will be held on Friday, April 11 from 5-9 p.m. on the Museum’s 15-acre campus.

April sees the celebration of the life, work, and legacy of Mary Kawena Pukui at Museum After Hours on April 11, 2025. Pukui’s unparalleled contributions to Hawaiian cultural revitalization encompass every facet of Hawaiian knowledge, practice, and existence. The evening event will include special tributes, mele, and hula.
