Group Rates: (10 or more paying visitors)

Non-Resident

 Adult (ages: 18-64) – $19.95 per person
Seniors (ages: 65+) – $16.95 per person
Youths (ages: 4-17) – $14.95 per person
Under 4 – Free**

Kama’āina/Military*

Adults (ages: 18-64) – $11.95 per person
Seniors (ages: 65+) – $9.95 per person
Youths (ages: 4-17) – $7.95 per person
Under 4 – Free**

*Hawaii State IDHawaii driver’s license or active military identification is required. In State College and University ID’s are also an acceptable form of ID.

Bishop Museum reserves the right to require customers to present collateral documentation establishing residency.

**Please note, children under 4, and current Bishop Museum members are not considered paying visitors.

Museum Experience Add-Ons

The following rates are for groups of 10 or more looking to add on Public Planetarium Shows and admission to Castle Memorial Building, there will be an additional charge per person, per area:

$2.95 per person (a wrist band will be required to enter the exhibit)

For groups of 10 or more looking to book private tours/shows in Hawaiian Hall and the Planetarium, there will be an additional charge per person, per area:

1/2 hour tour- $7 per person
1 hour tour- $14 per person

For groups less than 10 looking to book private tours/shows in Hawaiian Hall and the Planetarium, there will be an additional charge per person, per area:

1/2 hour tour- $70 flat rate plus the General Admission per person
1 hour tour- $140 flat rate plus the General Admission per person

Groups larger than 25 are required to book private shows/tours and are not able to join the public programming.

Please submit your reservation via the form below or call 808.847.8251. Walk-ins are also accepted through the Gift Shop. For advance reservations, groups looking to do self-exploring, please book your reservation at least 72-hours in advance. For groups interested in a private tour or show, please book your reservations at least 2 weeks in advance. Please note there is an added charge per person on top of admission.

There needs to be at least 10 paying visitors to qualify for the group rate. Visitors who currently have membership to the museum will not be counted as part of the group. A group may be a mixture of adults, children and seniors.

On the day of your visit, please have the Group Leader check in with one of our Greeters to collect admission stickers, maps and make any payments.  Payment can be made prior to your visit, but we do not issue refunds for any pre-paid payments. If you wish to pay for the group on the day of the visit, payment is due immediately upon arrival. Please keep in mind, payment for the entire group must be done in a single transaction with cash, check or credit card. Please have a single form of payment ready prior to checking in.

Education discounts are only available for Hawaii-based K-12 schools. To book a field trip, please visit our Education site for more information or call 808.848.4168. Out of state schools and college-age students are subject to the group rates posted above.
