Museum After Dark

Join us for an evening at Bishop Museum where you and your students can experience our spaces after hours! Explore all the signature galleries of the Hawaiian Hall Complex and Science Adventure Center, along with a private show in the Planetarium. Evening Schedule

Evening visits run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays.

Quick Facts

The Museum After Dark program typically runs from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on select evenings. As scheduling is subject to availability, we advise confirming your preferred date in advance.

  • 6:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays
  • Minimum of 10 paying participants required
  • Maximum of 60 paying participants allowed
  • Non-Resident Adults & Youth (ages 4+): $40 per person
  • Resident/Military Adults & Youth (ages 4+): $20 per person
  • Admission is free for all children ages 3 and under
  • Flat rate, no free chaperones
  • No deposit necessary
  • Planetarium program (Wayfinder or Hawaiian Sky Tonight)
  • After hours, self-guided exploration of the Hawaiian Hall Complex, Science Adventure Center, and Castle Memorial building
  • The Castle Memorial houses our rotating exhibits, so it may or may not be open on the selected visit date
  • Scavenger hunts available upon request
