Travel to space and across the ocean in the cool comfort of the Watumull Planetarium this summer! These early-evening shows take you on a quick trip to explore and celebrate life on Earth.

General Admission: $10 per adult or youth 4-17, 3 and under free**
Members: 50% off general admission member tickets

**Guests 3 and under will be expected to share a seat with an adult/guardian.

Ticket price includes:

• One (1) seat for selected planetarium showtime
• Popcorn snack (must be consumed outside of theater)
• Access to the Wayfinders: He Waʻa He Moku, He Moku He Waʻa exhibit in the planetarium lobby
• Activities at the planetarium and on the adjacent lawn

Please purchase a ticket for your desired showtime. The Bishop Museum Planetarium, Lobby, and activity area will be open for the duration of the night from 5-8 PM. Ticket includes access during this period and guests are welcome to come early or stay after their selected showtime. This is a Planetarium-only event. No additional exhibit buildings will be open during this period.

On Wednesday, July 16, Kaiwiʻula Night Market will take place from 4-8 PM in Museum’s Lot 2 and entry it is free to the public. Additional food and craft vendors will be present.

Evening’s Schedule

• 5:00 PM: Check-in begins. Guests may check in any time before their scheduled showtime. Popcorn and planetarium tickets distributed upon entry with paid admission.
• 5:00-8:00 PM: Guests may participate in activities on the lawn and at the Planetarium.
• 5:30-7:30 PM: Scheduled planetarium showings occur in the Watumull Planetarium. Guests should attend the showtime selected with their online purchase.
• 8:00 PM: Exhibits and activities close for the evening.

Program Details

• This is an in-person event at the J. Watumull Planetarium at Bishop Museum. No online options or recordings will be available.
• Seating is first come, first served.
• No late seating. Doors close at each given showtime begins. Please plan to line up in planetarium lobby 5 minutes prior to selected showtime.
• Please enter for the event through the fire lane gate by Atherton Halau (parking in lot 2) or through the Education Walkway. The check-in table will be located at the corner of Hawaiian Hall and the gallery lawns. No check-in or entry through Shop Pacifica.
• Activities, lawn seating, and planetarium areas will be open for the duration of the event, from 5-8 PM on the nights of the screenings.
• Blankets are welcome for a picnic on the lawn before or after selected showtime. No alcohol is permitted.
• Bishop Museum is a non-smoking campus. Designated smoking areas are located in our parking lots.
• No food or drink allowed in the planetarium theater.
• The planetarium is fairly cool, you may want to bring a light sweater.
• Evening parking is $5. Please pay for parking using a mobile phone through a posted Parklinq QR code (card payments only) or have your member parking sticker on your car. Please see Directions and Parking for more information.
• Tickets are fully refundable until 4 PM the night of the show. Refunds can be issued over the phone at (808) 847-3511 or via email at visitorexperience@bishopmuseum.org. Ticket sales are non-refundable after 4 PM. Refunds not available for no-shows or late arrivals.
