Celebrate Micronesia Festival showcases traditional and contemporary art, dance, fashion and music of the people and cultures of the Republic of Palau, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, Guam, Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae, Kiribati and the Republic of the Marshall Islands. This year, the computer is our wa’a (canoe) and the celebration of our cultures continues as the Celebrate Micronesia Festival moves to a virtual online format due to the current pandemic. There will be live performances, demonstrations, fashion &cultural exhibits, poetry readings, live talks and panel discussions, short stories and films. This celebration is partnered together with Hawai’i-based Micronesian community leaders and organizations and Bishop Museum.
The festival will be held virtually and is free and open to the public.
