Behind-the-Scenes Natural Science Tour
Learn about the diversity of plants and animals found in Hawai‘i and the Pacific Islands directly from the Natural Sciences staff as they guide you through a rare look at the hidden treasures found in our collections. Choose the collection you want to tour. We have over 22 million specimens across six biological collections: Botany (plants), Entomology (insects), Ichthyology (fishes), Invertebrate Zoology (marine invertebrates), Malacology (mollusks), and Vertebrate Zoology (mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles).
Tours are 1 hour long and need to be aligned with Collection Manager’s availability/schedule.
Non-Member: $150 per person
Kamaʻāina: $99 per person
Member: $75 per person
A minimum of 6 people are required to book a tour, 10 people maximum.

Educational Natural Science Collection Tours
These 30 minute Educational Natural Science Collection Tours are open to teachers and students between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding Museum holidays). Each group is limited to no more than 10 persons including chaperones.
Fill out the Natural Sciences Tour Request Form at least two weeks prior to your visit. Payment of $75.00 is due upon approval. For payment and questions please contact email@example.com or call 808-847-8204.
Bishop Museum is a private, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that is required to generate revenue for costs realized in association with collection management activities.
