The Bishop Museum Natural Sciences Collections are open to visitors, 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday (excluding Museum holidays). All visitors must make arrangements with the Collection Manager at least one week prior to intended visit. Qualified researchers will be granted permission for the use of the collection based on their experience, space and project. The taxa to be investigated must be stated and special requests must be made at the time of visit arrangement. Please read the NatSci Access and Use of Collections Policy.

Bishop Museum is a private, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that is required to generate revenue for costs realized in association with collection management activities. Costs may include, but are not limited to, facility bench fee, personnel time and other direct costs associated with the specific activity. Current costs include: Bench fee $200 a day and Staff Time $75 an hour. Fees may be discounted or waived depending on circumstances.
