Summer Camp Goes Virtual – For Free!

Bishop Museum and Kamaʻāina Kids have partnered to create an extremely unique and fun day camp experience at one of Hawai‘i’s most cherished destinations. In light of the COVID-19 situation, we are offering Virtual Camps starting June 8!

Families can register below for our FREE virtual camps offered in June. As with our in-person camps, activities, videos and crafts are created with K-5 students. However, virtual camps are full of family fun for all ages!

Once registered, families will receive an email with a link to our Camp Bishop Museum Google Classroom and instructions for the week’s upcoming activities, the day before the camp is scheduled to begin.

What to Expect:
Each camp day includes at least 2 videos (1 science, 1 culture) with accompanying activities, at least 1 craft and then at least 2 extension activities. Families can do one or all! It’s up to you!

Ocean Explorers – July 6 – 9, 2020

Splash into a camp filled with ocean creatures and activities that will have campers learning more about Earth’s final frontier.

Space Rangers – July 13 – 16, 2020

Rocket into fun during this interstellar experience. Interactive videos, experiments and crafts will transport campers on an educational adventure through our solar system and beyond.

Wayfinders – July 20 – 23, 2020

Let the wind fill your sails in this navigational experience. Campers will learn about polynesian wayfinding through different videos, experiments and crafts!

Sustainable Superheroes – July 27 – 30, 2020

It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s Recycleman! Campers will learn about the environment, sustainable practices and native vs. non-native plants and animals. They’ll even get to create their own superhero persona complete with their own sustainable superpower!

We are evaluating the possibility of on-site camp starting in July. Stay tuned for updates.
