Presented in partnership with the Hawaiʻi Walls Mural Festival (formerly POW! WOW! Hawaiʻi), Bishop Museum hosts a spotlight talk story with some of the most exciting storytellers creating multiverse narratives in pop culture today. Recent winners of The Academy Awards Best Picture and Best Director, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, affectionately known as “The Daniels,” who directed the cinematic phenomenon “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” will join Academy Award-nominated animator Kirsten Lepore (“Adventure Time,” “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On,” “I Am Groot”) to talk shop about creative multiverses and the current horizons of storytelling in contemporary media. The conversation will be moderated by Jeff Hamada, founder of one of the highest-traffic online contemporary arts publications, Booooooom.
