Halloweekend: A Saturday of Play at Bishop Museum
Saturday, October 31
9:30 am – 12 pm & 1:30 pm – 4 pm
Included with museum admission
Bishop Museum event provides fun and safe Halloween activities for families!
Upon arrival, guests will receive a “passport” from the Ho‘okipa Desk. Each activity that attendees participate in will earn them a stamp on the passport, and upon leaving the museum guests can turn in their stamped passport for a treat-filled goody bag!
Halloweekend will feature activities from Bishop Museum’s recently launched Outdoor Museum concept. Keiki can participate in pā‘ani games, learn about native plants with a “GO and GROW” kit, play a native bird matching game, and more. Each activity keiki participate in will earn a stamp on their passport. In addition, keiki can earn stamps by playing trivia using Bishop Museum’s audio tours. In order to receive a stamp from these locations, guests will have to scan a QR code located near several nēnē(Hawaiian goose) bird cutouts scattered across the museum campus. After listening to a segment of the audio tour, keiki will answer a simple trivia question covered by that section of the audio tour to obtain a stamp on their passport.
Keiki can also participate in a social media costume contest by taking selfie photos
next to our costumed nēnē friends at the Science Adventure Center, then posting them to Instagram. There will be one winner each from both timed ticket slots plus an overall best family/group (5 person limit) winner! Please check back the week of Halloween for full contest details and rules.
