GO and GROW! ‘Ohana Activity
9:00AM – 2:00PM
Keiki Corner (between SAC & Halekini)
Free with Museum Admission
Keiki, under the guidance and support of their parent, guardian or caregiver will visit six different stations to learn about important ingredients to grow your own plant. Each keiki will learn about what a plant needs to grow and thrive, learn the basic parts of a plant, and take home their own planted seed of a native plant found in Nā Ulu Kaiwiʻula, Bishop Museumʻs own native garden. As the plant begins to sprout and grow, keiki (and their ʻohana) have the option to continue growing their plant and home and transplanting it into the ground or return the plant to the Museum – where we would share it with our partners who are actively involved in landscape restoration activities and / or plant the young plant on the Museum campus.
