The Honolulu Polo Club offers a pop-up Bishop Museum experience at the Samurai – Imai Japan Friendship Cup[s1] at the Honolulu Polo Club’s Waimānalo Polo Field! Pack your picnic, bring the keiki and the dog, and enjoy learning about the history of polo in Hawaiʻi through Bishop Museum’s Library & Archive collections. In addition, learn about Hawaiʻi’s very own collection of honeycreeper carvings by Japanese master craftsman Haruo Uchiyama. Vertebrate Zoology Collection Manager Molly Hagemann will be on hand to answer questions about the works on display at the match.
All ages. Free for Bishop Museum Members! Members, show your Bishop Museum membership card to receive complimentary general admission for one adult per membership card (valued at $7.00/adult). Children under 16 are free. Military and their families are also free with valid identification.
