Artist at Sea Program

Science Adventure Center

The Schmidt Ocean Institute, in association with the Bishop Museum, will be displaying a select curation of the Artist-At-Sea collection at the Science Adventure Center from August 29th through September 29th.   These works are collaborations between resident artists and some of the world’s leading marine scientists, using the Institute’s research vessel Falkor as a platform of connection and interdisciplinary reach.

The show will be featuring the work of local artists Michelle Schwengel-Regala and Kirsten Carlson and hopes to bring a broader awareness of the important research occurring on Falkor and a better understanding of the complex ocean issues facing us today.
