Sounds of the Ocean, the award-winning immersive experience, invites you and your family to a captivating fusion of art, music and mindfulness that will transport you to the heart of the ocean’s embrace. Get ready for an adventure like no other, where the beauty of the seas unfolds before your eyes. Created by ocean artivist, director & composer Joshua Sam Miller and co-director/Expressive Arts Facilitator Elise Lein, this experience immerses you in an enchanting underwater world.\nLogistics/Travel Information\n\nThis is an in-person event at the J. Watumull Planetarium at Bishop Museum.\nNo online options or recordings will be available.\nCheck-in and entry will be near Bishop Museum’s Shop Pacifica (front entrance and gift shop). The check-in table will be located at the top of the main staircase/ramp and to the right.\nThe planetarium is fairly cool; you may want to bring a light sweater.\nNo eating, drinking, or smoking in the Planetarium lobby and theater. Designated smoking areas can be located in campus parking lots.\nPlease pay for parking using a mobile phone through a posted Parklinq QR code (card payments only) or have your Bishop Member parking sticker on your car. Please see Directions and Parking for more information.\nSeating is on a “first come, first serve” basis.\nNo food or drink is offered but water bottles are allowed.\nCheck-in begins 30 minutes before each show. Seating begins 10 minutes before.\n\n \nAdditional Program Information\nEvery ticket helps support the Papahānaumokuākea Marine Debris Project, removing fishing nets and other waste from the largest marine protected area in the United States.
