DESCRIPTION:Travel to space and across the ocean in the cool comfort of the Watumull Planetarium this summer! These early-evening shows take you on a quick trip to explore and celebrate life on Earth.\nFeatured Planetarium Shows\nAll shows are 25 minutes each.\nWednesday, July 9, 2025: 3-2-1 Liftoff! and Edge of Darkness\nWednesday, July 16, 2025: Ocean Paradise\nSee below for a full list of showtimes for each evening.\nTicket Details\nOnline Registration Requested\nGeneral Admission: $10 per adult or youth 4-17, 3 and under free**\nMembers: 50% off general admission member tickets\nPlease sign in before you register for the program in order to receive your member’s discount. If it is your first time to register online, please create a login and password. If you are a member, you must use the name and contact information for the primary member on your membership account to be recognized as a member in the system. Once you’ve completed the form, simply sign out. Not a member? Join today!\n**Guests 3 and under will be expected to share a seat with an adult/guardian.\nTicket price includes:\n\nOne (1) seat for selected planetarium showtime\nPopcorn snack (must be consumed outside of theater)\nAccess to the Wayfinders: He Waʻa He Moku, He Moku He Waʻa exhibit in the planetarium lobby\nActivities at the planetarium and on the adjacent lawn\n\n \nPlease purchase a ticket for your desired showtime. The Bishop Museum Planetarium, Lobby, and activity area will be open for the duration of the night from 5-8 PM. Ticket includes access during this period and guests are welcome to come early or stay after their selected showtime. This is a Planetarium-only event. No additional exhibit buildings will be open during this period.\nOn Wednesday, July 16, Kaiwiʻula Night Market will take place from 4-8 PM in Museum’s Lot 2 and entry it is free to the public. Guests may check in any time before their scheduled showtime. Popcorn and planetarium tickets distributed upon entry with paid admission.\n5:00-8:00 PM: Guests may participate in activities on the lawn and at the Planetarium.\n5:30-7:30 PM: Scheduled planetarium showings occur in the Watumull Planetarium. Guests should attend the showtime selected with their online purchase.\n8:00 PM: Exhibits and activities close for the evening.\n\n \nProgram Details\n\nThis is an in-person event at the J. Watumull Planetarium at Bishop Museum. No online options or recordings will be available.\nSeating is first come, first served.\nNo late seating. Doors close at each given showtime begins. Please plan to line up in planetarium lobby 5 minutes prior to selected showtime.\nPlease enter for the event through the fire lane gate by Atherton Halau (parking in lot 2) or through the Education Walkway. The check-in table will be located at the corner of Hawaiian Hall and the gallery lawns. No check-in or entry through Shop Pacifica.\nActivities, lawn seating, and planetarium areas will be open for the duration of the event, from 5-8 PM on the nights of the screenings.\nBlankets are welcome for a picnic on the lawn before or after selected showtime. No alcohol is permitted.\nBishop Museum is a non-smoking campus. Designated smoking areas are located in our parking lots.\nNo food or drink allowed in the planetarium theater.\nThe planetarium is fairly cool, you may want to bring a light sweater.\nEvening parking is $5. Please pay for parking using a mobile phone through a posted Parklinq QR code (card payments only) or have your member parking sticker on your car. Please see Directions and Parking for more information.\nTickets are fully refundable until 4 PM the night of the show.
