Watumull Planetarium\nAll ages welcome\nThe Stars Tonight occurs on the third Friday of each month in 2024.\nOnline Registration Required*\nGeneral Admission: $10 per adult, $7 per youth 4-17, 3 and under free*\nMembers: 50% off general admission member tickets\nPlease sign in before you register for the program in order to receive your member’s discount. If it is your first time to register online, please create a login and password. If you are a member, you must use the name and contact information for the primary member on your membership account to be recognized as a member in the system. Once you’ve completed the form, simply sign out.\nNot a member? Join today!\nJoin us for the Stars Tonight at Bishop Museum! Examine the skies with a presenter in our planetarium, featuring the stars, planets, astronomical highlights, and other stories of the current season.\nJune’s program will include an updated trivia experience. Start the show exploring the sky of the season and challenging yourself through quiz questions spanning astronomy, natural sciences, pop culture, and more. Then, review your answers through the presenter’s simulated sky tour.\nAll ages are welcome. Supplies will be provided. Participation in the trivia responses is optional and guests can otherwise just opt to watch and wonder in this question-filled exploration.\nEvening’s Schedule\n\n5:30 p.m. – Check in begins. Enjoy planetarium lobby exhibits and views over the Great Lawn.\n5:45 p.m. – Seating begins for 6:00 p.m. ticketholders.\n6:00 p.m. – The Stars Tonight planetarium show. One-hour-long seated theater experience.\n7:00 p.m. – Stargazing begins, weather permitting, with the Hawaiian Astronomical Society.\n7:15 p.m. – Seating begins for 7:30 p.m. ticketholders.\n7:30 p.m. – The Stars Tonight planetarium show. One-hour-long seated theater experience.\n9:00 p.m. – Event close.\n\n \n*Registration closes at 5:00 p.m., an hour before the scheduled program. Tickets are only available for purchase online. No on-site registration will be allowed at the event. No entry without confirmed pre-registration due to limited seating.\n**Guests 3 and under will be expected to share a seat with an adult/guardian.\nProgram Details:\n\nThis is an in-person event at the J. Watumull Planetarium at Bishop Museum. No online options or recordings will be available.\nSeating is first come, first served.\nNo late seating. Doors close at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. when each program begins. Please plan to arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to program start.\nCheck-in and entry will be near Bishop Museum’s Shop Pacifica (front entrance and gift shop). The check-in table will be located at the top of the main staircase/ramp and to the right.\nCheck-in and viewing of the planetarium lobby will begin at 5:30 p.m. Doors open for planetarium seating at 6:45 p.m. The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. and last approximately an hour.\nNo food or drink allowed in the planetarium.\nThe planetarium is fairly cool, you may want to bring a light sweater.\nEvening parking is $3, please be sure to pay at the parking kiosk or have your member parking sticker on your car.\nTickets are fully refundable until 5:00 p.m. the night of the show. Refunds can be issued over the phone at (808) 847-3511 or via email at visitorexperience@bishopmuseum.org ( mailto:visitorexperience@bishopmuseum.org ). After 5:00 p.m., less than 1 hour before the scheduled start of the first show, ticket sales are non-refundable.
