Bishop Museum Association’s 22nd Annual Treat Street
5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Don your dinosaur costumes and bring the keiki to trick-or-treat along a make-believe neighborhood street filled with colorful facades, right alongside our moving, roaring T. Rex and Triceratops! This year, our theme will be “Dinosaurs After Dark” in conjunction with our new Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibition (September 26, 2009 - January 4, 2010). Along with trick-or-treating, we will offer a dinosaur-themed costume contest, candy excavation pit, dinosaur tattoo station, and an array of other dinosaur themed crafts and activities as part of our Halloween festivities.
Donations
Each year, this important Halloween tradition attracts over 8,000 children and families and provides a safe and fun place to trick-or-treat. In order to keep this event free of charge, Bishop Museum depends on support from local businesses and neighbors like you. Please help perpetuate this historic community event and help us create a safe and happy Halloween for our beloved keiki by making a donation in support of Treat Street. Your contributions are truly appreciated and may take the following forms:
- Candy/Snacks/Trinkets. We will need individually wrapped candy, cookies, pencils, stickers, toys and assorted goodies to distribute to trick-or-treaters. Our goal is 200,000 pieces!
- Cash. Cash donations will help fund candy for trick-or-treaters as well as games and activities. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500.
If you have questions or wish to donate, contact Courtney Chow, Director of Membership & Individual Giving at courtney.chow@bishopmuseum.org or (808) 848-4187. You may also download the Treat Street donation form and mail it in.
