Hawaiian Hall Keiki Art Contest

Palaoa

Did you know there is a giant sperm whale inside Hawaiian Hall? Ask your mom, dad or grandparents if they remember. Our famous palaoa (sperm whale) will now have new animal friends in the newly restored Hawaiian Hall when it opens this August!

Hawaiian Hall will be an exciting place to visit. The inside of the building looks as beautiful as it did when it was built over 100 years ago. Brand-new exhibits tell the story of Hawai‘i through the eyes of the Hawaiian people. And don’t forget the palaoa and his new friends. The palaoa and friends are part of Hawai‘i’s natural environment. Come join us in celebrating this special reopening of Hawaiian Hall.

Are you 12 years old or younger? You can be a part of the Hawaiian Hall grand reopening by entering our Hawaiian Hall Keiki Art Contest!
