The White Tern, also known as the Fairy Tern, is a
common site on the south shore of O'ahu.
Adults will carry small fish in their bills back to
their chicks, who will swallow their food whole.
Adults wingspans are from 70-87 cm (27.5-34 in).
While most adults arrive for mating and nesting in
February and leave in September, some pairs will remain all year-round.
