VIRTUAL STREAM VISIT: Getting Started
To get started on the research study, you'll need to spend some time exploring and observing a Hawaii stream environment:
Observation: A good scientist is observant and notices thing in the world around him/herself. (S)he sees, hears, or in some other way notices what's going on in the world and becomes curious about what's happening.
1. If you can, visit some streams near your school or home, and spend some time there making observations (be sure to follow Stream Safety Guidelines!)
2. Go on a Virtual Stream Visit at this web site. Look carefully at each picture and then answer the questions below the picture. Download and print the Stream Observations Sheet and record your answers on it.
3. Do some more stream research to learn more about Hawaii's streams.
