Longnose Hawkfish
Common Name: Longnose Hawkfish
Distribution: Throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific and Eastern Pacific.

Remarks: Certainly one of the more distinctive hawkfishes, this beautiful red barred-and-striped fish is a resident of deep gorgonian beds. At depth, the red pattern appears black, and one wonders who or what ever gets to appreciate such an ornate pattern.
