| Remarks: This species inhabits outer reef areas and has been found far out to sea. Named for the Galapagos Islands, this species has a wide distribution. It is very similar in appearance to the Gray Reef Shark, but differs in the shape of the dorsal fin and other characteristics. It also gets considerably larger, reaching lengths in excess of 11 feet. |
