Erosion | Rainfall | Plants

Reduction of vegetation on Kaho'olawe and Maui
has decreased the amount of rainfall on the island, and
hardpan leaves the soil unable to absorb water.
The PKO has set up a number of rainfall catchment
tanks in order to store water for revegetation.
