Explore the tallest mountain on Earth through the eyes of the ancient Hawaiians to the astronomers of today. Learn why the “White Mountain” is considered the premiere site on Earth for viewing the Universe.

Take a virtual journey across the Pacific as the ancient Polynesians did thousands of years ago and learn some of the techniques of wayfinding used by modern day Polynesian navigators.

*Due to the darkness of the planetarium, there is no late seating for any show.

2:30 – 3:15 p.m. Walk-in Observatory Program (near the cafe) What’s the big deal with the sun? Come take a look at sunspots and solar flares and find out why “solar weather” is so important to our planet. *Weather permitting.
