Waipi‘o Valley Stream Restoration Brings Scientists and Students Together

WaipioThe Waipi‘o Valley Stream Restoration Study is the first-ever study of completely restoring a Hawaiian stream to natural flow conditions. It will study the effect of restoring the stream on stream flow, water quality, habitats and biota. The project is a collaboration between Bishop Museum scientists and 5th through 8th grade students from Kamehameha Schools, Kea‘au and Kanu o ka ‘Āina schools on the Big Island.
