Make Halloween An All-day Family Affair At Bishop Museum
The creatures that once ruled the earth are now ruling Bishop Museum’s Castle Memorial Building. This Halloween day, come and see the entire Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit for yourself, and marvel at the king of the dinosaurs, a 27-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex right on the Museum’s lawn.
Museum hours on Saturday, October 31st, are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; regular admission rates apply. Discounts available to kama‘āina and military with valid ID.
After the Museum closes for the day – bring the kids back dressed in their favorite dinosaur costume to go trick-or-treating down Treat Street on the Great Lawn! Festivities for the 22nd Annual Treat Street event begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. Admission is FREE!
The evening starts off with trick-or-treating for the keiki down a make-believe street full of colorful facades and characters. The fun continues with a dinosaur themed costume contest, prehistoric pie-eating contest, roar like a dinosaur contest, a candy excavation pit, dinosaur tattoo station, and lots of dinosaur themed crafts and activities.
Please note all exhibits, including Dinosaurs Unearthed, will be closed during Treat Street. However, the T-Rex and Triceratops outside of the Castle Memorial Building will be visible to the public. Pose for a photo in front of them at your own risk.
The 22nd Annual Treat Street is presented by Bishop Museum in partnership with the University of Hawai‘i School of Architecture to provide a fun and safe Halloween for the community.
Additional parking will be available at Kapalama Elementary School.
