Bishop Museum Library & Archives 2nd Annual Book Sale !

The Bishop Museum Library and Archives will host its 2nd Annual Book Sale on Saturday, November 10 from 9 a.m. until noon in Pākī Conference Rooms 1 and 2 (cash and checks only accepted) featuring a selection of duplicate photo prints, recent U.S. stamps, Bishop Museum Memoirs, Bulletins and Special Publications, Pacific Insect Monographs, Insects of Micronesia, sheet music, and other rare treasures. Virtually every item is currently out of print and difficult to find. Proceeds will benefit the Library and Archives. Admission to the Book Sale is free.

There will also be a silent auction including the following rare titles: Fire Fountains: The Kingdom of Hawaii Volume 2 , Fauna Hawaiiensis, Reminiscences of Old Hawaii, Peter Buck’s Polynesian Voyages , Limited Edition slipcover of Olelo Noeau , Cook’s Voyage Artifacts, and more.

Bishop Museum Library and Archives holds a rich collection of diverse historic materials from Hawai’i and the Pacific. Among the treasures are photographs, manuscripts, audio recordings, films and video, artwork, and maps all available for research during the Archives’ public hours: Tuesday through Friday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. , and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon . (Closed on holiday weekends.) Bishop Museum Library and Archives is located on the Second Floor of Päkï Hall.
