Flying over the 1,400-foot Moua Tapu on the remote Polynesian island of Huahine , dr. Yosihiko Sinoto saw the vague shadow of a straight line on a hill near this sacred mountain. Drd. Sinoto’s discoveries, among the most remarkable archaeological discoveries in Polynesia , yielded the parts of an ocean-going canoe big enough to have sailed to Hawai‘i and back. Dr. Sinoto will discuss this and other uncovered secrets in this lecture. Artifacts from this site will also be on display. Free Hōkūle‘a posters will be given to the first 50 attendees.
