CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY SEASON AT BISHOPMUSEUM’S THIRD ANNUAL CANDY CANE LANE
HONOLULU – Santa just might have to put you on his naughty list if you miss out on the holiday festivities at Bishop Museum’s 3rd Annual Candy Cane Lane. The Great Lawn transforms into a holiday extravaganza on Friday, December 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, December 17 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, December 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Families from all over O‘ahu can enjoy a great holiday event while being able to get last minute shopping done with unique gift items from Shop Pacifica or at one of the many craft booths in the Dicken’s Shoppe Christmas Craft Fair featuring jewelry, toys, island snacks, home and computer accessories, clothing and more. Looking for the perfect gift, but can’t seem to find it? At Candy Cane Lane, guests can even make personalized gifts in the Make-n-Take Santa’s Workshop. From ornaments to gingerbread cookies, from reindeer antlers to mini-Christmas wreaths, kids and kids-at-heart can make holiday gifts for the family or a special Christmas keepsake to mark the year.
To help spread the holiday cheer, visitors can enjoy festive entertainment from Creative Movement, Na Pu‘ukani, Sunshine Generation, Pacific School of the Performing Arts, Hālau Na Pua Mai Ka Lani, The Fine Line Band, Sounds of Aloha Barbershop Chorus, Hula Hālau O Na Wahine, John Valentine & Daniel, The Movement Center and much more.Families can take a holiday train ride together aboard the Candy Cane Express, kids can enjoy appearances by Santa, giant inflatable jumpers and rides, pony rides, and a petting zoo, and everyone can enjoy delicious delights from various island vendors and great holiday decorations, including the only Christmas lights in town that feature an erupting volcano!
Admission is $3 per person and free for Bishop Museum members and children age 3 and under. Admission allows access to all of the Museum’s exhibits and galleries, including the new Science Adventure Center. There is a nominal fee for some of the activities.
