BISHOP MUSEUM’S NEW SCIENCE ADVENTURE CENTER MEMBER PREVIEW ON NOVEMBER 18 PRESENTED BY KRAFT®

**Members are first to experience Hawai‘i’s newest attraction**

HONOLULU – Bishop Museum members are invited to a special Member Preview Party on Friday, November 18 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the Museum’s new 16,500-square-foot Science Adventure Center. Members will be among the first to experience the Center’s unique interactive exhibits. They’ll also enjoy live entertainment from Nā Pu‘ukani and Ernie Cruz Jr. with Del Beazley, Kraft® Foods product samples, face painting, balloon artists, educational activities, and visits by Kraft® Foods mascots, Cheeseasaurus Rex and Oreo Man.

The only facility in Hawaii dedicated to showcasing the latest in scientific technology and research, the Science Adventure Center will educate visitors on such topics as oceanography, volcanology, biodiversity and ecology. Featuring a signature 26-foot tall volcano that will “erupt” several times a day, deep sea remotely-operated vehicles, live insect habitats and numerous hands-on exhibits, the Science Adventure Center showcases Hawai‘i’s natural environment in a fun, interactive setting.

The Kraft® Foods Member Preview Party of the Science Adventure Center is open to all Bishop Museum members who have an active membership on or purchase a membership before November 18, 2005. Bishop Museum memberships are available at different levels from $35 for a Friend or Senior membership to $45 for a Family membership and $60 for a Family & Friends. Membership plans have also been established for grandparents to take their grandchildren for $40. Higher level of membership range from $100 for Patron to $250 for Benefactor and $500 for Visionary memberships and also allow for discounted or free entry to over 250 Museums and Science Centers across the United States.

Each level of membership includes free year-round admission to the Bishop Museum and other benefits including discounts at Bishop Museum’s Shop Pacifica and special behind-the-scenes tours for higher levels of membership. Now through November 18, 2005, new and renewing members who present a receipt for the purchase of two select Kraft® Foods products will save $5 off a Family or Family & Friends membership or $10 off a Patron membership.

Members are asked to R.S.V.P. for the Kraft® Foods Member Preview Party of the Science Adventure Center to the Member Hotline at 848-4172. The Richard T. Mamiya Science Adventure Center will open to the general public on Saturday, November 19.
