HAWAII MARITIME CENTER HOSTS 3 RD ANNUAL FISH FRY AT KAPONO’S

HONOLULU – In celebration of the Honolulu Harbor Festival, Hawai‘i Maritime Center will host the Third Annual Fish Fry from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, November 4. Benefiting its educational programs, the Fish Fry will showcase slack key guitar masters, George Kuo and Martin Pahinui, singing songs of the sea. Guests will enjoy seafood stations from Chai’s Island Bistro, Gordon Biersch, and Kapono’s. The evening will also include a performance by Henry Kapono.

Aloha attire is requested. Individual tickets are $100, and corporate tables are available. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call 536-6373.

Located on Pier 7 on historic Honolulu Harbor, the Hawai‘i Maritime Center celebrates Hawaii’s rich maritime history through exhibits, displays, and rare maritime artifacts. As a sister institution of Bishop Museum, the Hawai‘i Maritime Center offers visitor a look back at Hawaii’s extensive maritime history – from its discovery by Polynesian navigators 1500 years ago, to contact with western culture, to the effects of whaling. Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., admission is $7.50 for adults; $4.50 for youth 6-17 years; special rates for kama‘āina , seniors and military; children under 6 years and Bishop Museum members are free.
