HONOLULU – Children from Hawai‘i and those from around the world can learn about Bishop Museum and Hawaiian culture, thanks to the first-ever Bishop Museum Press children’s book, “Bishop Museum Coloring and Activity Book.” On November 20, 2004, the softcover activity book will be on sale for only $4.95.
This fun 24-page coloring book created and illustrated by Brad Evans, is packed with mazes, crossword puzzles, word searches, connect the dots and decipher codes, lessons on Hawaiian culture and descriptions of exciting things to see and experience at the Museum. The book will be available at Bishop Museum’s Shop Pacifica and bookstores statewide and is a valuable source of cultural education for children ages 3-8.
Founded in 1892, Bishop Museum Press is the oldest continuous publisher of books in Hawai‘i, and one of the first scholarly presses in the Western Hemisphere.
