KRAFT FOODS PRESENTS A SPOOK-TACULAR NIGHT AT BISHOP MUSEUM’S ANNUAL TREAT STREET

HONOLULU – Kraft Foods presents Treat Street at Bishop Museum on Sunday, October 31, 2004 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Keiki are invited to trick-or-treat, show-off their Halloween best, take part in bewitchingly fun games and activities, and cheer on some of the fastest roaches in Hawai‘i at the 2nd Annual Cockroach Race. Admission is free, made possible through generous support by Kraft Foods, Fantastic Sams, KSSK, and the Bishop Museum Association Council.

Treat Street, a custom-designed neighborhood of colorful building facades designed and constructed by students of the University of Hawai‘i’s School of Architecture and local businesses, is situated on the Great Lawn and offers kids a fun and safe place to trick-or-treat. Main stage activities include a costume contest featuring Spookiest and Most Original categories and a mystery food-eating contest. The 2nd Annual Cockroach Race also will take place. Kids are encouraged to bring in the fastest roaches from their neighborhood to race on a specially designed track, or select from the Museum’s offering of winged insects.

The Honolulu Zoo also will be on hand with its very cool collection of animal bones and skulls for kids to view and learn about. Giant inflatable jumpers and games, pizza, hotdogs, and bubble drinks complete this ghoulishly fun evening. For more information, call 847-3511.
