Responsible for providing conservation consultation, examination, survey and treatment services for provision of conservation service of items from Bishop Museum cultural and natural history collections. As needed in treatments, researches artists’ techniques and interprets scientific analysis of materials. At least 10 years experience as a practicing conservator, or the equivalent training and experience. Able to use a microscope, photographic equipment, drills, propane torch, and hand tools. Knowledgeable in preservation fundamentals for cultural and natural history collections. Master of Arts degree in conservation from an accredited conservation training program.Â
