How It Came To Hawai‘i :This dragonfly is naturally found from Argentina to Florida. It was first observed in Hawai‘i in 1977.
Impact Since Its Arrival:The Vermilion Glider is found mainly along marshes and streams at lower elevations. It has caused little harm to the Hawaiian stream ecosystem.
