Noteable Marine Aliens in Hawaiian waters

Chthamalus proteus (ka-tham'-alus pro'-teus) Barnacle that is widely distributed throughout the Hawaiian Islands, completely covers pilings at Hilo Harbor.

Schizoporella, Halocordyle, Salmacina (sky-zo-por-ella, halo-ko-deele, sal-mas-ina) Invertebrates that attach themselves to docks and piling, may become a major problem in the future.
