Programs for students

Programs for your students

Bishop Museum offers a wide range of programs in culture and science.  This includes a variety of culture programs in the recently renovated Hawaiian Hall Complex. Science programs are offered both in the Richard T. Mamiya Science Adventure Center and at the NOAA funded Science on a Sphere, an interactive six-foot globe.

In addition, we offer programs on a wide range of astronomy topics in the Watumull Planetarium.  All programs in all areas are aligned with HCPS III.  Please see the individual program descriptions for an overview of which benchmarks are aligned to which programs.

Education programs range in length from 25 minutes to 1 hour.  There are no additional fees for programs but we generally have a limit of no more than two programs per group.

NEW SCIENCE/PLANETARIUM PROGRAM OFFERING: Eyes on Island Earth. This new STEM program combines two exciting visual experiences, the planetarium and the Science On a Sphere, to explore why Hawai‘i is a great place to learn about Earth system science and to discover how NASA satellites help us in our explorations of the planet. Book now for visits starting January 4, 2016.

*Please Note: There are new Scheduling, Payment, and Cancellation Policies for School Groups
