Ola Nā Mo‘olelo
Ha‘i mo‘olelo, or storytelling, is the
Hawaiian tradition of passing down information
from generation to generation.
Today, this
beautiful tradition continues through Bishop
Museum’s Cultural & Educational Outreach
program, Ola Nā Mo‘olelo.
These dramatic storytelling presentations, complete with artifacts from the Museum’s collections relevant to the mo‘olelo, bring historical people and events from Hawaiian history to life.
From the legacy of the great warrior chief ‘Umialīloa in the 15th century to the reign of King Kalākaua who led the islands into modern times, Ola Nā Mo‘olelo will inspire and enrich the lives of our children.
