Ongoing restoration efforts in this area have revealed ancient Hawaiian terraces along the massive rock outcrops. Then, proceed to Ulupo Heiau, a sacred temple built by the first people, or menehune as a mapele (agriculture) heiau and dedicated to the god Kaneulupo. Walking shoes and water bottles are suggested. Further instructions will be provided when you RSVP.
