In this “lively” presentation, the different ways in which insects can be used in the criminal investigations will be demonstrated. These include estimations of a minimum period of time since death, postmortem movement of the body, assessment of wounds on the body, and abuse/neglect of children and the elderly. The applications will be illustrated using actual cases both from Hawaii and the mainland.
