Liopropoma aurora
(Jordan & Evermann, 1903)

Common Name: Sunrise Basslet
Distribution: Endemic to the Hawaiian Islands

Remarks: The spectacular Sunrise Basslet is aptly named for the golden streaks and speckles across its orange body. This species is rare on coral reefs at depths of less than 200 feet, but is quite abundant at greater depths. It hides in small caves and crevasses most of the time.
