Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden

Peter Van DykePeter Van Dyke, Garden Manager

Hi, I am Peter Van Dyke, Garden Manager of Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden, Bishop Museum’s native plant arboretum on the island of Hawai‘i. The Garden supports Hawaiian traditions of land and plant use and conserves the plant resources of traditional cultural activities.

Over 16,000 people, including nearly 2,500 school children, visit the Garden each year to learn about native plants, Hawaiian farming, and life in Kona in the time before foreign contact. Please help us to conserve the richness of the garden by fulfilling a wish. Mahalo!.
