Bishop Museum's Mission

As The Museum of Hawaii, the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum’s mission is to be a gathering place and educational center that actively engages people in the presentation, exploration and preservation of Hawaii’s cultural heritage and natural history, as well as its ancestral cultures throughout the Pacific.

Bishop Museum's Vision

We envision a future where all people understand and celebrate Hawaii’s cultural heritage and natural history and use that knowledge to inspire the future.
